என் மனம் கவர் கள்வன்

என் மனம் கவர் கள்வன் – அவன்
ஒன்றா இரண்டா சொல்வதற்க்கு….
என் காதலன் கவிஞன் என்பதா..
என் மனம் கவர்ந்த
இசைஞானியை சொல்வதா..
என் நண்பன் ஓவியன் என்பதா..
ஆயின் என் தோழன் பேரரசன்??
எவனைச் சொல்ல, எவனை விட..
காதலிக்கும் மனமிருந்தால்
காதலனுக்கா பஞ்சம்..

என் தோழி எனும் தாய்

தோழி என்ற வார்த்தையிலே
தோழமை மட்டும் அல்ல
அங்கு தாய்மையும் கலந்து உள்ளதென
காணக் கிடைக்கப் பெற்றிருந்தேன் ..

நேரத்திற்கு சாப்பிடு..
நிம்மதியாய் தூங்கி எழு..
உடல்நிலை என்றும் பத்திரமாம்..

வார்த்தைகள் யாவும் இனியவையாய்
என் தாயின் வாய் வழி கேட்ட பின்
நான் காணப் பெற்றது
என் தோழியின் கடிதத்தில்..

என் கனவு இங்கே மெய்ப்பட
அங்கே கட்டளை இட்டாள் கடவுளிடம்
என் எண்ணம் யாவும் ஈடேற
வேண்டிக் கொண்டாள் இறைவனிடம்

பார்த்துப் பழகிக் கிடைத்த நட்பே
பாழாய்ப் போகும் இக்காலம்
இப் பேதை பெண்ணின் நட்போ
எனக்கு வேண்டும் எக்காலும்..

அறியாப் பருவக் காதல்

அறியாப் பருவத்தில் முதல் முறை
அறியாது வரும் உணர்வு!
உன் மனம் என்னும் வலைத் தன்னில்
விண்மீனாய் நான் மாட்டுவது!
புரிகின்ற பருவத்தில் புரிந்தும்
புரியாமல் உன்னை நெருங்குவது!
வழி மேல் விழி வைத்து நீ
வருவதை எதிர்ப்பார்ப்பது ! 
உன்னை தூரத்தில் கண்டவுடன்
நண்பர்களை ஓட ஓட வீரட்டுவது!
உன்னிடம் எத்தனையோ பேசத் துடிப்பது!
உன்னை எதிரில் பார்த்தாலோ
பேசாமல் ஊமையாவது!
பதில் அறிய கேள்வியுடன்
என் காதல் கடிதம் நீட்டுவது!
அதை வாங்கி நீ உன் நெஞ்சுக்கு
அருகினில் வெட்கத்தோடு புதைப்பது!
அதை கண்டு காதல் மிகுதியால்
போதையொடு நான் தடுமாறுவது!
இந்த காதலில் தான் எத்தனை சுகங்கள்..
இன்னும் எத்தனை நாள் தான் நானும்
இவ்வாறு உன் நினைப்பில் வாழ்வது??

Roller coaster rides

In the darkness of my room,
As I ponder through the night,
Silence rings deeper into my ears,
Now provided with the time in my life,
As I think on all the years gone by..
Emptiness fills the air of the room,
Calmness has consumed my mind,
Leaving me without a care..
As there is no path laid before me,
I aimlessly wander these grounds,
Desperately seeking a sense of purpose,
I continue my search for one to be found..
I see my past, right in my mind’s eye
So many choices, so many mistakes,
More pain, less gain, more losses,
Even lesser love, poorer health,
Too little happiness, so many sorrows,
Many giggles, childish fun, playful times,
Do I change anything, I ask?
Nothing my friend, says my Soul..
“Life is all about ups and downs
Enjoy your roller coaster rides”.

எப்பொழுது ரசிக்கத் துவங்குவாய்?

நீ எழுதுகிறாய்
நான் ரசிக்கிறேன்
நீ பேசுகிறாய்
நான் கேட்கிறேன்
நீ சிரிக்கிறாய்
நான் இனிக்கிறேன்
நீ கவிதையை ரசிக்கிறாய்
நான் உள்ளுக்குள் இசைக்கிறேன்
நீ சங்கீதத்தை ரசிக்கிறாய்
நான் ராகமாகத் துடிக்கிறேன்
உன்னை ரசிக்கும் என்னை
நீ எப்பொழுது ரசிக்கத் துவங்குவாய்?

Dad, you taught me to be strong

I can never be strong enough...
Accepting that you are gone..

I was the apple of your eye..
You were the balm to my soul..
Now that you have left me and gone
There is no one to smile at me..

Those unconditional love..

I won’t immortalise you in the stars...
Because they fade away...

As I was losing interest in many things;
All the ones that gave me pleasure once..
Seemed so dull all at once;
You came into my life like a breath of fresh air;

And we bonded well through the one I love..
Love for music connected us..
We played music in unison..
You with your intricacies..
Me sharing the beauty of lyrics..
Music sounded even more beautiful..

I came to you the hour I was in pain
Looking for answers, I cried to you in vain.
I shared many skeletons hiding in my heart..
When I needed outstretched hands,
You opened up your heart
And opened up the door..
I knew then, you'd be my friend for life..

As time flew, the air grew thick;
I saw our friendship fading;
My heart grew sicker & thicker..
I never put conditions..
I just let you be..
But someone did..
So restrictive she got..
You danced to her tunes..
Demonish side started to surface..
You made your choice very clear..
I now realise the end is near..

When it's time to say goodbye..
Now I sit all alone, deep in thoughts..
Reminiscing the past that's blown...
Wondering why can't I move on,
Just the way you did..
