Autumn!

I have watched
The golden autumn pass by,
Lonely path at dawn
strewn with coloured leaves
carpeting the days bygone
soft white clouds
Punctuating the azure sky
Like a bunch of young children
Basking in their newly gained freedom
I hum a line or two
From the song,
That was once my favourite
Now, all the memories erased
With the sponge of time
The yellow leaf quivers, shudders
They joins the others,
Floating like a weightless, timeless
Wanderer in space
On the colourful carpet of the
Senile Autumn!

- a very old poem I wrote in my early teens.
